My Morning at Garrard Landing Park in Alpharetta GA

It was such a lovely day that I grabbed my camera and headed to Garrard Landing Park for a morning stroll. I love this spot because it’s easy to get to, parking is free, and it feels tucked away from the city.

I have clients from Alpharetta that live in neighborhoods like Windward, Glen Abbey, and Park Brooke!

I snapped a photo of the entrance sign on Holcomb Bridge Road before heading down the gravel path.

With greenery on either side and a little covered seating area along the way, I was happy just taking my time and seeing where the trail led.

The path opened up to a pond with a fountain, surrounded by trees beneath the brightest blue sky. There were birds all around enjoying the water, completely unaware they had become the main characters in my story that morning! I stopped with my camera to watch them and photograph the fountain.

I also passed the playground, with its big blue slides and climbing structures. If I were bringing my family along, I know we’d need to leave time for a stop there!

Alpharetta has so much to offer if you love restaurants, shopping, and a busy afternoon out. But I’m always drawn to the quiet spots nestled away in nature. Give me a winding trail, birds on the water, and my camera, and I’m pretty happy.
