Alpharetta has plenty to keep my family busy, from the shops downtown to dinner at Avalon. I love that we can spend time around town and still find green space for a relaxed evening photoshoot. I have tons of clients from Alpharetta who live in neighborhoods like Windward, Glen Abbey, and Park Brooke!

My idea of a Saturday morning starts with coffee at Valor Coffee and a walk through the Alpharetta Farmers Market during market season. Fresh flowers, baked treats, and families wandering around the Town Green make downtown feel so welcoming. For lunch, I’d head to Smokejack BBQ. Just behind City Hall, Brooke Street Park has a landscaped stream and walking paths tucked away from the restaurants and shops.

Wills Park has playgrounds, walking trails, and an equestrian center that my kids love. The Big Creek Greenway offers shaded paths for family walks and bike rides. Webb Bridge Park is another option for its playground and wooded trails. I spent a morning at Garrard Landing Park recently! I love this park for family photos. The open grassy areas, pond, and tree-lined paths are beautiful. We have room to let the kids move around and capture those playful, candid moments together.

You can also follow the Alpha Loop between downtown and Avalon, then finish with dinner or ice cream. If we’re planning a grownup night out, a concert at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre would be on my list!
