Jen and her family met me at Garrard Landing Park in September for their second family session with me, as their Alpharetta family photographer. I was SO excited when she reached out to book another photoshoot! There is something really special about photographing a family more than once because you get to see the kids and their little personalities change and grow right in front of you. Their three-year-old twin boys had changed SO much since the last time I saw them!

And these two little guys?! Oh my goodness. Getting to photograph them again and see how much they had grown was so much fun!

And let me tell you…it was HOT. Like…really hot. We were all sweating. September in Georgia apparently did not get the memo that fall was supposed to be on its way! But we rolled with it, laughed about the heat, and kept going. And these boys definitely kept us laughing.

What This Family Wore for Their Alpharetta Family Photography

I loved the outfits Jen chose for this family photography session. Dad wore a classic grey long-sleeve button-up shirt with blue pants, brown leather shoes, and a matching brown leather belt.

Jen wore the prettiest mauve-colored long-sleeve chiffon dress with silver sandals. And then we had the stars of the show…the twins! They wore matching blue-and-white plaid long-sleeve shirts with blue jeans and little grey-and-brown leather shoes.

There is something about matching toddler twins that I just cannot handle. In the absolute best way..

Three-Year-Old Twins Turned Into T-REXES

Let’s just say that three-year-old twins are NOT going to stand perfectly still and smile at a camera for an hour. And thank goodness for that! Because I don’t actually want them to.

This time, the boys were SO much more comfortable with me. They were READY to be silly. At one point, the boys became dinosaurs. Not just regular dinosaurs, either. T-REX dinosaurs.

They stomped around pretending to be T-Rexes and getting completely into character. Years from now, Jen will have family pictures that bring those little personalities right back.

Cozy Family Photos in Alpharetta, GA

One of my favorite setups was when the entire family laid down together on a blue blanket with white pillows in the grass. Mom, Dad, and their boys all piled together with the trees and evening light behind them.

Garrard Landing Park is also such a pretty option for an alpharetta Family Photographer session. The wild grasses grow tall, and the park has open areas, wooded trails, and Chattahoochee River scenery. It also has a wooden covered bridge, although we did not photograph there during this session.

The park can be accessed through the Johns Creek Environmental Campus and sits near the recognizable Ellard neighborhood.

1. Wills Park – Open green space, mature trees, walking areas, and an arboretum.
2. Webb Bridge Park – Wooded areas, trails, open green space, and plenty of natural scenery.
3. Cogburn Road Park – Open green space, walking paths, mature trees, and an arboretum.
4. Rock Mill Park – Wooded scenery and access to Alpharetta’s Big Creek Greenway.
5. Brooke Street Park – Open lawn, flowering trees, walking paths, and downtown Alpharetta scenery.

• Autrey Mill Nature Preserve – Wooded trails, a creek, wildflowers, and historic buildings.
