I could spend a whole afternoon with my family in Roswell, from the shops along Canton Street to the wooded trails near the old mill. I love the mix of historic homes, tree-lined roads, and places where we can spend time outside together. I have clients from Roswell who live in neighborhoods like Martin’s Landing, Horseshoe Bend, and Brookfield Country Club!

My idea of an afternoon downtown starts with a walk along Canton Street and time to browse the local shops. For dinner, I’d head to Table & Main for Southern food. If we’re bringing my kids, Alive in Roswell would be on my list for its food and entertainment! Nearby, Barrington Hall and Bulloch Hall add to the historic character I love about downtown.

For family and maternity photos, I’m drawn to Roswell Mill and Vickery Creek, also known locally as Big Creek. The covered pedestrian bridge, old mill ruins, and spillway waterfall give us plenty of variety. I love the combination of textured stone, greenery, and paths through the trees. We can capture different backgrounds without moving everyone to another location. I took a day trip to Roswell recently and loved it!

If we’re planning more time outside, I’d pack a picnic for my family at Azalea Park or take a walk along the Chattahoochee River on the Roswell Riverwalk. Local parents also recommend Roswell’s recreation programs and the Chattahoochee Nature Center, which I’d add to my list for an outing with my kids.
