Maternity sessions can be for just our pregnant mama, or the entire family can join in. This is completely up to you and the maternity photos you want to capture.

Some mamas look at their maternity session as an excuse to get dolled up and focus on the treasure that she is. Some mamas want to incorporate just dad, or the whole family. This totally depends on your personal preference, and I’m fine with any and all options! Your family is welcome to hop in for a few maternity photos, or they are welcome to be involved throughout the entire session.

Taking family photos during your maternity photoshoot can be a great way to capture your family in the moment before a new precious family member makes their arrival and steals your hearts.

If a mom ever asks me if she should incorporate her other children in her maternity photos, my answer is always yes! There is nothing sweeter than watching the babies you already have grow into big siblings. Including siblings in the maternity session can reflect the bond your family has with each other and the new baby to come.
