Posed vs Lifestyle Newborn Photos: Which is Right for You?

I offer both posed and lifestyle newborn photos! Let me help you decide the feel and vibe that is best for you.

Ahh, the age old question. I’ll admit, I’ve had a change of heart lately. For the past 13 years, I’ve focused on posed photos. I’ve trained to perfect my posing, and have absolutely loved the precious props, staged images, and molding babies into the cutest poses.

However, I’ve had a recent change of heart, and I see lifestyle photos in a whole new light. There’s something so magical about stripping away all of the extra add-ons and eye-candy, and focusing on the best subject of all – your little miracle baby. Lifestyle photos have a way of bringing you right back to that moment, feelings and emotions. Focusing on capturing genuine connection rather than elaborate displays is what lifestyle photography is all about. The real, the raw.

There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to deciding between posed vs lifestyle newborn photos. It’s all about what you prefer and how you want to remember this time years down the road.
