Lindsay drove from Buckhead for her first maternity session, celebrating her fourth and final baby with classy, serene studio portraits.

Lindsay made the drive from Buckhead to my photography studio for her first-ever maternity session with me. She reached out to me and let me know this was her fourth and last baby! She had never taken maternity pictures before. As soon as she told me that, I knew this session had to be incredibly special for her.
This gorgeous pregnant mama was finally getting maternity photos for baby number four! Below I’m recapping Lindsay’s session for anyone in Buckhead looking for maternity photography with me, but head here if you want more details about my maternity photography!

I asked mom her vision for the maternity session. She told me she wanted these photos to be classy, serene, and natural, while also feeling strong and playful. I am hoping that I was able to pull that vision off for this mama with these maternity photos!

What Mom Wore for Her Buckhead Maternity Photography
The first look was a classic oldie, but a goodie. She brought a white, long-sleeve, button-up shirt. We left it unbuttoned so we could see her adorable baby bump.

The grey backdrop paired with moody lighting was the perfect combination for a classic look that will never go out of style. We brought in a stool to get some more playful poses.

Your maternity photos shouldn’t just be you standing there with your hands on your belly as you smile at the camera. Your maternity photos should show how beautiful it is to grow life.

Soft Blue Fabric and Black & White Maternity Photos
We changed things up and went for a softer look. Mama wore a soft, shiny blue flowy fabric I picked up from Hobby Lobby draped around her as she stood on a soft blue backdrop. The fabric draped over her body, showing off her growing belly.

Simple setups often get overlooked. But they are often my favorite images.

I decided to edit many of these photos in black and white. They were screaming with emotion, and I thought the grayscale could bring them to life. I’m not usually a girl for black and white as color has my heart. But I loved these B&W.
